Privacy Policy
How Whole Live handles your data. Last updated: 15 July 2026.
What we collect
A username you choose (no real name or email required), the content you post in the forum, the messages you send in chats, the threads you follow, your votes, your friend connections, and — only if you enable notifications — a device push token and your device's platform (iPhone or Android). We also keep an approximate "last active" time for your account, which helps us spot spam and abuse. If you turn on location sharing, we store your latest location while sharing is on; turning it off deletes it. We don't collect contacts or advertising identifiers.
Your lockers
Locker numbers and PINs are stored only on your phone — they are not kept on our servers. When you share your lockers with someone, the copies are end-to-end encrypted on your device with keys that never leave your phones: we store only your public key and the encrypted copies, and we cannot read them. Deleting the app deletes your lockers.
How we use it
To run the forum, chats and the friends map, show your posts, and send the notifications you opt into (e.g. replies to threads you follow, or a set you bookmarked starting soon). Bookmarks and reminders stay on your device. To keep the space safe, new posts and chosen usernames are automatically screened by an AI safety system; content it flags is reviewed by a human moderator, and screened content is not used to train AI models. Chats are private: a moderator only ever sees a chat message if a participant reports it.
Sharing
We don't sell your data. Your location is visible only to friends you have explicitly confirmed, and only while you're sharing. Push notifications are delivered through Expo's, Apple's and Google's services. That's it.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account from Settings at any time. This removes your account and personal data and hides your content.
